Y Twitter, entendiendo el aumento de su influencia, lleva un registro preciso del alcance que ha tenido cada uno de los 14 partidos que se han jugado hasta en el campeonato del Mundo. El partido de Chile no aparece en el ránking principal, ya que sólo tuvo 2,2 millones de tweets durante los 90 minutos de juego, bastante lejos de los 12,2 millones que tuve el partido inaugural.
